1. Standards & Guidelines

Applied as per SSPC, NACE, and ISO 12944 standards for protective coatings.

2. Surface Preparation

Steel surfaces prepared by Sand/Shot Blasting or Hydro Blasting to achieve cleanliness grades SA 2.5 or WJ-2, ensuring proper adhesion.

Concrete surfaces mechanically ground, shot blasted, or acid-etched to remove laitance, dust, and contaminants.

Surfaces free from oil, grease, rust, and moisture before application.

3. Primer & Intermediate Coats

Epoxy primers applied for excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Intermediate coats (Epoxy MIO / High-build Epoxy) used to build film thickness and improve barrier properties.

4. Topcoat Application

Epoxy Topcoat: Provides excellent resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and mechanical stress.

Coating thickness maintained as per manufacturer’s data sheets (typically 250–400 microns DFT for Epoxy systems and 300–500 microns DFT for PU systems).

5. Application Methods

Coatings applied by airless spray, brush, or roller depending on project conditions.

Multiple coats applied with specified drying/curing intervals.

Continuous monitoring of ambient conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) during application.

6. Inspection & Quality Control

Dry Film Thickness (DFT) checked using calibrated gauges.

Adhesion tests, holiday detection, and visual inspections carried out to meet project specifications.

Final finish free from pinholes, runs, sags, and other defects.

7. Safety & Environment

All applications performed in ventilated conditions with proper PPE.
